Mission Statement

Rathduff Community Playschool ltd sees the child as part of a family and a community. We recognise the diversity of social and economic backgrounds in our community and seek to address this by being accessible, affordable and actively encouraging the participation of all parents and guardians. To create an environment for the children where they are valued for their uniqueness, where they feel safe and empowered, and where they can learn and develop through play thus fostering foundations for life.

Our aim

Our aim is to work well with all members of staff, parents and children. It is to provide purposeful and stimulating early childhood activities, which enhance each child's growth and development. The early years are the most important time for exploration and discovery, and children need opportunities to create, play, make friends and learn, whilst having fun.

Ethos of our Centre

  • To recognise that parents are the primary educators and we will work in partnership with them.
  • To value children in their own right.
  • Every child is special and will receive the very best quality of care and attention.

Objectives

  • To value all children as individuals and to appreciate their uniqueness.
  • To recognise that all children are part of a community and they are our future.
  • To provide a safe, secure, stimulating environment which embraces all children and their values, race, language, gender, culture and religion.
